“I joined the last semester of my senior year, and it was the best experience ever. The people are amazing and the connections you make will last a long time.”

"Hard work and resilience are traits I’ve gotten coming from a Mexican background," Carlos explained. "Whenever life knocks me down I know how to get back up and continue pushing towards my goals."

"I learned a lot about my family’s culture through my dad’s side of the family," Garcia explained. "It’s brought an identity that connects me to others everywhere I go, even if we’ve never met."

"Being Hispanic has definitely influenced my work ethic for esports. Something I have always been taught is to grind and to put all my effort into something I enjoy. Having that mindset has indeed been helpful for me in my studies and games."

"In a state where the spiciest thing there is black pepper, there was not a lot of Hispanic representation and culture present," Mireles said. "Spending the rest of my childhood out in Arizona was a drastic change, but it was a welcome one where I could see much more diversity and representation than ever."
