Welcome our new Esports Director - Ian Escalante

The University of Arizona is pleased to announce hiring of our inaugural Director of Esports, Ian Escalante.

Ian has extensive experience within the emerge of Esports on college campuses, including as the Founder and President of Esports Board at Florida State University, and an Independent Esports Researcher/Consultant. His most recent position as the first Director of Esports at Savannah College of Art and Design, he created the Esports program, including player development, recruitment and evaluation, compliance and retention, budgeting and fundraising, and Esports facilities and social media.   He will start on Monday, Nov 15, and will report to Kendal Washington White, Vice Provost for Campus Life and Dean of Students.

There will be a welcome reception for Ian on Nov 15th at 11:30am-1:00pm.  (Location TBD)
